Copart Germany’s and Cash For Cars Event Sponsorship
Since social commitment and giving back to the local community are important values to both Copart Germany and Cash For Cars, we decided to sponsor this year’s Lions Club rubber duck race at our headquarters in Düren. This world-famous event brings hundreds of people together for charity and fun.
Lions Club Düren-Rurstadt
10 years ago, the Lions Club started to establish this event to raise money for local needs. Over the years, it has drawn more and more people to make contributions for a good cause. This year, more than 3500 small rubber ducks and 250 sponsored ducks were ready to float down the Ruhr river (including our Copart and Cash For Cars ducks).
Over 25.000 Euro in Proceeds
“Creativity” and “having fun” were the mottos of this year’s event, and hundreds of visitors were drawn to this race. As a result, over 25.000 Euro was collected from event tickets and sponsorship. The proceeds will be used to support projects for children, teenagers and senior citizens in Düren, as well as to support relief funds for emergency measures.
Unfortunately, our little Copart and Cash For Cars ducks didn’t win the race but we still had plenty of fun! They are back at our headquarters now taking a well-deserved break until next year’s event.
